Don’t get me wrong, I love to watch falling snowflakes, but I think we already had enough snow for this winter. I’m ready for spring! :)

On location, studio photographer specializing in pregnancy, maternity, newborn, infant, baby, children portrait photography.

I couldn’t help myself the other day, and had to snap a few shots of this squirrel. We had more than one coming the past few months and taking over our old bird feeder so there were no seeds left for the birds. And what I mean is that the refilled seeds were gone in just a few minutes sometimes! So we decided to buy a new squirrel-proof bird feeder. But let me tell you, it still hasn’t stopped them. They can’t get the seeds out, so instead they just sit on the top and scare all the poor birds away. After a very long time, what must be like an eternity for the squirrel, she tried to shake the seeds out. Our squirrels became a little overweight, as you can see, because our post is leaning a little more and more every day. :)

Looks like this winter is very generous when it comes to snow. For sure we can’t complain about not having enough. Although winter is my least favorite season, I still find this time of the year magical. Not just because of the holiday but there is something beautiful about seeing everything covered under the white “blanket”.
I thought I’ll share with you a picture of our Bengal cat Lester. In case you can’t tell, he’s an indoor cat. We took him out in the snow and he actually liked it because the following day, while Erich was refilling the bird feeder, he slipped out on his own. He started exploring and slowly walking away from our house. But don’t worry he’s safely back home now taking his nap.
